"Powerage" was AC/DC's 4th American release (not counting '74 Jailbreak). Amongst the guitar-driven crunch of the Young brothers' attack lies a melancholy spirit & heartfelt lyrics delivered by Mr. "Powerage" is not just good. No big changes. Do yourself a solid & go buy it. No new sounds. It doesn't stun the world into submission. Bon Scott.
Just another strong slab of 9 rock 'n' roll songs the way rock 'n' roll songs are supposed to be played. This would be the last AC/DC disc produced by Vanda & Young and that's a shame since they were very much responsible for AC/DC's bluesy guitar sound. "Down Payment Blues," "Gimme A Bullet," "What's Next To The Moon" & "Gone Shootin'" are sure-fire highlights. It's great. It'll be more than worth it and then some.
Entertaining Hard Rock Album. Includes, Sin City, Gone Shootin', What's next to the Moon, and many more great Bon Scott Era Rock And Roll.
Powerage is one of AC/DC's best albums. Listen to Riff Raff and see if you can keep from jumping up and down all over the living room furniture.
This is an awesome album that features alot of awesome songs , their second best album with Bon Scott , a must have. Highly recommended.
this album came out in the 70's and i was young enough and fortunate enough to have seen these guys live in germany perform this great music. raw, powerful, able to withstand the time. if you like your metal hard, this is a must-have cd
